Ministering through Laundry
08/26/2010 No commentsLaundry Love Projects (LLPs) are regular opportunities to help people who are struggling financially by assisting them with doing their laundry. Relationships are built, and LLPs become small communities of common concern in which participants often find that they receive assistance and benefit with other areas of their lives. (Source)

Never Let Go
04/16/2010 No commentsWhen clouds veil sun
And disaster comes
Oh, my soul
Oh, my soul
When waters rise
And hope takes flight
Oh, my soul
Oh, my soul
Oh, my soulEver faithful
Ever true
You I know
You never let go
You never let go
You never let go
You never let goWhen clouds brought rain
And disaster came
Oh, my soul
Oh, my soul
When waters rose
And hope had flown
Oh, my soul
Oh, my soul
Oh, my soulOh, my soul
Overflows
Oh, what love, oh, what love
Oh, my soul
Fills hope
Perfect love that never lets goOh, what love, oh, what love
Oh, what love, oh, what love
In joy and pain
In sun and rain
You?re the same
Oh, You never let goSimilar Posts:

The Message of Easter
04/04/2010 No comments(Repost from 04/08/2009)
Happy Easter, everyone.
Hear the bells ringing, they’re singing that you can be born again
Here the bells ringing, they’re singing Christ is risen from the deadThe angels up on the tombstone
Said He has risen, just as He said
Quickly now, go tell his disciples
That Jesus Christ is no longer deadJoy to the word, He has risen, hallelujah
He’s risen, hallelujah
He’s risen, hallelujah–Easter Song, Words and music by Annie Herring © 1974 Latter Rain Music (ASCAP)

Christian Olympians: Kelly Clark

Photo from Vancouver Now“I achieved the highest in my sport. I was famous,” she says. “I had money. I had an Olympic gold medal. Everything that anyone could have wanted, and I found out that wasn’t what I was looking for.”
So Kelly did what she thought would fill the void in her heart.
“I strived to drink the most. I strived to be the rowdiest… all this silly stuff. That didn’t seem like a very good idea, but at the time that was what I thought was gonna make me cool. I wanted people to like me.”
Neither Kelly’s gold medal nor her partying was enough to take away her deep sense of emptiness. (Source)
